My most recent Trends article for Learning Circuits, ASTD's e-learning webzine, is up on the site.
"Podcasting in Academic and Corporate Learning" covers the new phenomenon of podcasting in regards to its learning implications. Although I've seen a lot of buzz on what could be done, I haven't seen much coverage of what is actually being done now.
So, for this, I talked to a couple of people who are using podcasting: one, a university professor and two, the president of a learning supplier company that creates podcasts for clients. I also discuss Duke's recent iPod expirements.
The article begins with general info on podcasting, though, so those new to the term and concept won't be lost.
As is my habit, I also included links to a bunch of resources for readers to learn more about podcasting in general and podcasting and learning in specific.
