I'd like to offer a big thank you to two companies who not only make this blog possible but who really went above and beyond in their customer service. (As I wrote back in March, customer service is a big crusade of mine and I like to point out when it's done well.)
I was trying to install a more-sophisticated site statistics program on this blog and was having a lot of trouble getting it to work. The customer service people at Statcounter.com went back and forth with me over a couple of days trying to figure out what the problem was.
They responded amazingly quickly to each post I made on the trouble ticket and stuck with the problem until it became apparent that they had done all they could. Then they suggested I contact the helpdesk here at Typepad.
My previous experiences with Typepad customer service were as good as my experience with the Statcounter folks, so I knew I'd be in good hands. Sure enough, the customer service agent responded within a few hours and pointed out one crucial step I'd missed.
And it worked! So I'd like to highly recommend both Typepad and Statcounter.com for your blogging/website needs. Although Typepad is a paid service, you really do get what you pay for (not just in features but also in helpful, fast customer service). And Statcounter.com is absolutely free and offers an fabulous set of tools and views for all your site statistics.
I'm not associated with or being paid by either of these companies. I just believe highly in quality products and amazing service. These two companies provide both.
