Do you IM at work? Does your company allow IM at work?
According to a recent study by Ohio State and the University of California, IM @ work helps productivity. Is it less distracting than phone calls and constant emails?
R U using IM to communicate with colleagues? If not, why?
In organisations where employees are separated by distances, even if its by one floor, keeping in touch saves a lot time in - commuting, dialling numbers or typing an email.
IM's r faster and instant.
The con - could be a bit intrusive at times.
